Construction Update - Nov 2006

In November, Guangdong Overseas Construction Group (GOCG) was awarded as the Main Building Contractor in a grand ceremony that featured entertainments by well known celebrities. This milestone further cemented Creek Marina Marina’s reputation as being an exemplary developer which is able to deliver all that has been promised. The excellent collaboration between 2 world-renowned companies - Meinhardt Singapore and GOCG - will ensure that Creek Marina project will be on, if not ahead of schedule.

Basement piles for all the blocks have been fully completed. Ultimate pile load tests for the building have ended. PMC (UK) also performed various tests starting from November 2006. These include Ultimate Compression, Static Load Test, Pile Dynamic Analysis (PDA) Test on Static Load Test Pile and PDA Test. This test provides mobilized soil resistance to the skin of the pile shaft and pile toes. It also helps to detect piles head deflection or extent and location of any piles damaged. The successful completion of the test pile will pave way for drilling of the building piles. These tests are expected to be completed by early January 2007. Phase 1 of the project will be handed to the main building contractor, Guangdong Overseas Construction Group (GOCG) by end of 2006.
